Caribbean Research Associate
Simone Harris joined TFCC in 2015 as 'Caribbean Research Associate' and is currently working with the TFCC team on several Creative Industries Strategic Development Projects across the Caribbean, including her most recent role as ‘Local Sector Expert’ for TFCC's Development of a Business Plan for Jamaica’s Creative Industries.
Simone is President of 360 ARTISTS, a Jamaican arts management agency representing artists in the visual and performing arts sectors. She has brokered and produced live events in Asia, the Caribbean, the US and Europe and has worked on projects including, the Caribbean Cultural Conference (NY), Tobago Contemporary Dance Festival, Dance Umbrella (Jamaica), the Festival of the Arts (Boca Raton) and Jamaica Pride 2015. She is also the founder of Choreography is Copyrightable, the Caribbean's first and only dedicated dance copyright project which received a Puma Creative award in 2011.
Under the 360 ARTISTS roster she manages a number of promising young artists including Anna Mariah (runner up Season 12 Digicel Rising Stars). The company has also been responsible for the management of a number of events including The Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment Arts in the Park series, the B.O.L.D Caribbean Live 2 Lead conference and several live music events and exhibitions. Simone also dedicates time to delivering courses as part of the Arts Management degree programme at Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts.
Simone holds a Masters in Music Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University, MBA from Everest University, a BSc in Psychology and Human Resource Administration from the University of the West Indies, Mona and a Certificate in The Business of Music from Berklee College of Music, Boston.
